(Rochester, NY) – The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has recalled defenseman Spiro Goulakos from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
Goulakos, 25, has recorded 19 points (5+14) and 75 penalty minutes in 32 games this season with Elmira to lead all Jackals defensemen in scoring. He has also played in one AHL game with the Amerks this year. Last season, Goulakos completed his four-year college career at Colgate University, recording 14 points (3+11) and 36 penalty minutes in 26 games while serving as team captain. In four seasons at Colgate, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound native of Montreal, Quebec, registered 71 points (22+49) and 176 penalty minutes in 130 games.
