Williamsville East Moves Up; Defeats Kenmore East

Williamsville East and Kenmore East closed out the first period with no goals Tuesday night at Northtowns in the ECIC Semi-Finals.

Williamsville East Nick Mendola opened the scoring in the second period with a shot off Caden Cavalleri and the scoring began. With 16.8 seconds left in the second Kenmore East’s Derek Pine scored with 16 seconds left assisted by Owen McKinney and Noah Stacoski. The period ends in a 1-1 tie.

It was Williamsville East all the way in the third period with Carmen Panaro scoring, assisted by Nathan Milk and then an empty net goal, unassisted, by Peter Nostrant. The game ends 3-1 with Williamsville East moving to the next round.

In goal for Williamsville East, Luke Fryling, making 30 of 31 shots and for Kenmore East Frank Manzella stopping 31 of 34.

They will faceoff against Starpoint on Thursday at the LeCom Harborcenter. Time to be Announced.
