UB Women Beat The Ohio State in OT

The University of Buffalo Women’s Ice Hockey Team hit the Northtowns Ice with energy as they took on The Ohio State University women’s team. The outcome, a overtime period that ended at 2:24 into the period when Lizzy Sachar scored the winning goal, ending the game 4-3 in favor of Buffalo.

Ohio opened the scoring with a goal by Robin MacAusland in the first period. Coming back to the ice Ohio scored their second goal but Buffalo’s Ava Tower dropped one in with 8:33 left in the period and the second period had Ohio in the lead.

Two goals in the third by Buffalo’s Sierra Dominik and Carlee Foley and another one by Ohio’s MacAusland tied the game ending the third 3-3.

Then into overtime with Sachar scoring the winner.

UB hits the road to Oswego, Mercyhurst and Brockport before returning to the Northtowns Center for a game against cross-town rival Niagara University on December 4 and Mercyhurst on December 10.
