Two Brockport Hockey Players Tabbed On Inaugural d3hockey.com honor

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport ice hockey team tabbed two players on the inaugural d3hockey.com team of the week in forward Chase Nieuwendyk and defensemen Chris Luker. Both Golden Eagles earned Second-Team honors.

In the opening two weeks of play, Nieuwendyk has tallied eight points off of five goals and three assists. The senior recorded his first hat trick of the season Saturday night in a 8-7 victory over Morrisville State. Nieuwendyk has also been a force to reckon with in the faceoff circle winning 15 of 22 face offs in the first game of the season. On the season, Nieuwendyk has won 47 face offs.

Luker has tabbed two multi-point games this season. The senior recorded two assists in a 6-2 win over SUNY Cortland and picked up two more assists in a 8-7 win over Morrisville State.
