Three Players Score As Nazareth Records Sixth Straight Shutout

ROCHESTER, NY – In the second game in as many days against Stevenson University, the Nazareth College Women’s Hockey team recorded its sixth consecutive shutout victory with a 3-0 win Saturday afternoon at the Bill Gray’s Iceplex.

Junior Abbey Luth scored in the first period for the early Nazareth (6-1-0) lead and in the third period, junior Elie Fallieras scored to give the Golden Flyers a two-goal lead before freshman Emma Hayes capped her big weekend with her third goal in two days for the final score.

Junior Stephanie Kubis had the lone assist on the Luth tally while sophomores Olivia Miller-Johnson and Ally Watrous had assists on the Fallieras goal. Junior Hallie Redders had a nice pass for the assist on the Hays goal in the third period.

Nazareth extended its shutout streak to just over 370 minutes and have killed off 24 straight power play opportunities.

The Nazareth defense continued to sparkle as junior Noelle Giroux made 12 saves and the defense blocked 14 shots in the game.Nazareth continues United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) action Friday at Lebanon Valley and play the Dutchwomen at home Saturday night.
