ASTON, PA. – Senior Corey Temple (Troy, MI/Ohio Flames) scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Cortland women’s ice hockey team to a 4-2 victory at Neumann University Sunday night in ECAC West action. The Red Dragons won a school-record sixth consecutive game since the program was re-established during the 2000-01 season, improving to 7-6-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the conference. The Knights fell to 3-12-1 and 1-9-1 with the loss.

Senior Maggie Corbett (Queensbury/Queensbury H.S.) and junior Stephanie Heresniak (Woolwich Township, NJ/Philadelphia Jr. Flyers) also netted goals for Cortland. Senior Katie Gili (Brooklyn/New Jersey Rockets) collected two assists, while senior Laura Drew (Andover, MA/Canterbury School) and freshman Charlie Calamari (Barrington, IL/Chicago Fury) recorded one assist each. Senior goalie Deanna Meunier (Parsippany, NJ/New Jersey Rockets) registered 28 saves.

Grace Kleinbach and Jackie Schneider scored for Neumann with Ashley Langdon, Sammy Patrick and Kelly Fox each recording an assist. Goalie Justina Mayr made 34 saves.

The same two teams meet Sunday at 2 p.m.
