UTICA, NY- Senior Morgan Reed (Fort Myers, FL/Cushing Academy) of the Utica College women’s hockey team was named a D3hockey.com All-American, released Thursday.

Reed, who was also a d3hockey.com All-Region selection and an American Hockey Coaches Association CCM Division III Second Team All-American, was one of only 18 players in the nation to land on the All-American teams. This season, she led the Pioneers with a career-high 44 points on 22 goals and 22 assists. She ranked fifth nationally and third in the conference with 1.57 points per game. Reed wrapped up her career ranked fourth all-time at UC with 111 points. She joins All-Americans Deana Weigand ’07, Megan Myers ’14, and Stephanie Price ’07, as the only players to score over 100 points in a Pioneer uniform. She is also tied for third in program history with 54 goals to her credit and played in every game during her four-year career (109).

Utica wrapped up arguably its most successful season in program history with an overall record of 19-8-1. The Pioneers set new program records for wins and conference wins (13) in a season and reached the conference final for just the second time in program history. UC finished the season ranked tenth in both national polls.
