Ott Chosen ECAC Player of Week

SUNY Potsdam women’s hockey player Jordan Ott (Hilton,
N.Y./Rochester Edge) can a new award to her list of accolades. After a
four-point weekend against William Smith College, the Bears sophomore
sniper has been named the ECAC West Player of the Week.

Ott helped Potsdam to a 1-0-1 weekend with three goals and an assist. On
Saturday, Ott scored a power-play goal in the Bears’ 1-1 draw with the
Herons. She followed it up with two goals, including the game-winner, and
an assist in Potsdam’s 4-3 win yesterday afternoon.

Ott now has seven points in the first four games of the season on four
goals and three assists. Her 1.75 points-per-game tie her for 12th in the
nation and her average of a goal per contest is eighth best in the
country.

The Bears now head for Oswego for a weekend series with the Lakers.
Friday’s contest starts at 3 p.m. and Saturday’s at 11 a.m.
