Sal Magliocco ’17 (Roslyn, NY — New York Apple Core) of the Elmira College men’s ice hockey team has been named the ECAC West Conference Goaltender of the Week.
Magliocco got the start in net this past weekend against the Valiants of Manhattanville College. The Roslyn, NY native made 31 saves in 65 minutes of action to help lead the Soaring Eagles to a 1-1 overtime tie. For Magliocco, Saturday’s game was his first appearance in net since February 1, 2014.
The Soaring Eagles will be back in action this Friday, November 14th when Elmira welcomes Utica College to the Murray Athletic Center Ice Arena for a 7:00 p.m. rematch of last year’s ECAC West Conference Tournament final.
