Logar Has Big Four-Point Game To Lead Express Past Syracuse

Ryan Logar had two goals and two assists to lead Lockport to a 5-1 victory over Syracuse.

Logar scored at 13:26 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lockport and again while 1:32 into the second to make the score 2-0 Lockport.
Lockport’s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Syracuse power plays. Syracuse was unable to stop Lockport from sending pucks towards the net, and Lockport eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. Lockport could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lockport also got points from Mark Friol, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Christopher Gasiewicz, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Brendan McFall also scored for Lockport. Other players who recorded assists for Lockport were Justin Durkee and Frank II Vecchio, who each chipped in one.

Syracuse was led by Nate Walker, who scored the team’s only goal. Walker scored 6:59 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Lockport. Nicholas Sanborn assisted on the tally.

Tim Schiess recorded 22 saves for Lockport. Lockport registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Lockport ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Sam Rydzewski was ejected from the game. Kyle VanWagner made 41 saves for Syracuse on 46 shots. Syracuse incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Syracuse, Rocco DeRollo was ejected from the game.
