For one day, the New York Islanders and New York Rangers decided to get along.
Specifically the archrivals wives and girlfriends, as they came together at the Food Bank for New
York City Warehouse and Distribution Center, packing food for those in need.

They billed the event as a competition, that extra motivation pushing the wives and girlfriends to dig deeper as they sorted food and packed boxes. The winner was the Food Bank for New York City, as the wives and girlfriends packed away a combined 4,655 lbs. of food.
All repacked food will be distributed to soup kitchens and food pantries citywide.
