Crunch Reassign Comrie To ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – (Crunch Photo) – The Syracuse Crunch have reassigned defenseman Adam Comrie to the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL, general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

Comrie, 26, appeared in one game with the Crunch this season. He has also played in two games with the K-Wings, putting up one assist and four penalty minutes. He skated in 32 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, posting nine goals and six assists, during the 2015-16 season. The 6-foot-4, 219-pound blueliner also appeared in 39 contests with the Reading Royals of the ECHL last season, earning 34 points (15g, 19a) and a plus-8 rating.

In 197 career AHL games with Lehigh Valley, the Worcester Sharks and Rochester Americans, Comrie has recorded 20 goals and 52 assists. He has also racked up 47 goals and 50 assists in 127 ECHL games with Kalamazoo, Reading, the Greenville Road Warriors and Cincinnati Cyclones. Prior to his professional career, the Ottawa, Ontario native collected 98 points (33g, 65a) in 179 OHL contests with the Guelph Storm and Saginaw Spirit.

Comrie was drafted in the third round, 80th overall, by the Florida Panthers at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed to a one-year AHL contract with the Crunch on July 26.
