Crocker Scores 100th Career Point To Lead Elmira Women’s Hockey To Win

ASTON, Pa. —Emma Crocker ’21 of the Elmira College women’s ice hockey team scored her 100th career point on Friday evening, as the Soaring Eagles (6-0-0, 6-0-0 UCHC) defeated Neumann University (3-2-1, 3-2-1 UCHC) by a 10-0 final score. Crocker became the 16th skater in Elmira’s illustrious history to reach 100 career points.

Crocker, who entered the contest with 96 points, produced four points via three goals and an assist. Her fourth and final point, the one that put the Abington, Massachusetts, native exactly at 100, was registered on her third tally of the contest with 57.6 seconds remaining in regulation. She joins former teammates Katie Granato ’19, Maddy Jerolman ’19, Maddie Evangelous ’19, and Louisa Lippiatt Durnell ’18 as part of EC’s 100-point club.

Crocker’s performance (3g-1a) fueled the Elmira offense, which erupted for 10 goals in a shutout win over the Knights of Neumann. She was one of 12 Soaring Eagles to produce at least a point this evening, and one of 10 with two or more. Of Crocker’s three goals, one was scored on the power play.

Tristen Tolan ’21 tied Crocker’s point production with one goal and a trio of assists. It was a career best for the Anchorage, Alaska, native. Captain Eliza Beaudin ’22 matched Tolan’s assist output, and tied her own career high, with three assists.

Kelly Matthews ’23 (2g-0a), Jenny Heath ’22 (1g-1a), Claire Meeder ’23 (1g-1a), Kelly Millins ’23 (1g-1a), Sydney Harris ’21 (1g-1a), Jess Adams ’21 (0g-2a) and Mary McCafferty ’22 (0g-2a) added two points apiece.

Single-point scorers included Devyn Gilman ’21 and Madi Morton ’24, who added one assist each.

In net, Elizabeth Hanson ’21 faced eight shots and stopped all of them en route to her first shutout win of the season.
