BROCKPORT, N.Y.—Buffalo State scored three third-period goals to pull away from host Brockport for a 4-1 victory this evening in a SUNYAC contest at Tuttle North Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) scored a pair of goals for the second-consecutive game, giving him six on the season.
Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS) and Anthony Beaumont (Lester, PA/Interboro) added a goal and an assist apiece.
Wood opened the scoring with the only goal of the opening period, and Brockport scored midway through the middle frame, setting up the winner-take-all final stanza.
Wood’s second of the game with just under seven minutes remaining proved to be the game winner.
Nieminen added an insurance marker with 1:20 left, and Beaumont sealed it with an empty-netter in the final minutes.
The Bengals finished with a 26-23 edge in shots, as Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) made 22 stops for the win between the pipes.

FOR THE FOES
Connor Hutchins was the lone goal-scorer for Brockport.
Matt Schneider finished with 22 saves in the loss.
