Amerks Sign Jordan Henry To Pro Tryout

(Rochester, NY) – The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has signed defenseman Jordan Henry to a Professional Tryout. In a related move, the Buffalo Sabres have reassigned forward Justin Bailey and goaltender Linus Ullmark to the Amerks.

Henry, 30, has appeared in 35 contests with the Brampton Beast of the ECHL this season. The 30-year-old native of Milo, Alberta is currently tied for second among team defenseman with 13 points and tied for third in assists (10) with the Beast this season.

As an alternate captain last season in Brampton, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound blueliner recorded 19 points (6+13) in 47 contests for the Beast.

Henry returns to the Amerks after appearing in 194 career games with Rochester from 2007-10, compiling 55 points (20+35) over three seasons with the team. In his final season with the Amerks in 2009-10, he established career-highs in all offensive categories, including goals (13), assists (18) and points (31), all of which led Rochester blueliners.

In his AHL career, Henry has amassed 69 points (22+47) in 306 games for Rochester, Chicago, Oklahoma, Abbotsford, Syracuse and Charlotte.
