Capital Region Is Home: The New Jersey Devils have come to terms with Albany County and SMG, management company of Times Union Center, on an agreement to extend their lease for the AHL affiliate, the Albany Devils through the 2018-19 season.

“We are happy to solidify this partnership between the county and the people of this community, which makes the Times Union Center home to the Albany Devils,” said Hugh Weber, President of the New Jersey Devils. “We look forward to engaging the community and business leaders to make this team an asset we all can be proud of.”

Carrier Released: The Devils released Alex Carrier from his PTO and he has rejoined the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL). Carrier signed his tryout on Mar. 25 and appeared in three games. The right winger has appeared in five AHL games this season and 44 ECHL contests, producing four goals and eight helpers.

Well Earned Time Off: After winning two games during a three-in-three weekend, the Devils did not practice today and will have a limited skate tomorrow. Albany is gearing up for another three-in-three weekend: Friday at Syracuse (7 pm), Saturday at Binghamton (7:05 pm) and Sunday vs. Toronto (3 pm).
