COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey today announced the 20-man roster for the U.S. Under-17 Select Team that will compete at the Under-17 Five Nations Tournament from Aug. 10-16 in Arosa, Switzerland.

All 20 players participated in the USA Hockey’s Boys Select 16 Player Development Camp, which took place July 7-13 in Williamsville, New York.

The roster features 11 forwards, including Brannon McManus (Newport Beach, Calif.), who led the Boys Select 16 Player Development Camp with 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists) in five games. The seven-player defensive unit includes Connor Mayer (Champlin, Minn.) and Clayton Phillips (Edina, Minn.), who each recorded four points in five games during the camp. Cayden Primeau (Voorhees, N.J.) and William Girard IV (Boca Raton, Fla.) were selected as the U.S. Under-17 Select Team goaltenders.

NOTES: The 2015 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament will include teams from Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and the U.S. … Pat Boller (Queens, N.Y.) will serve as head coach of the 2015 U.S. Under-17 Select Team, while Cory Laylin (St. Cloud, Minn.) and Dave Lassonde (Rochester, N.H.) will serve as assistant coaches … The 20 players on the Team USA roster represent 11 different states. Minnesota and Michigan lead the way with four players apiece, while Florida, California and Massachusetts have two … The annual USA Hockey Select 16 Player Development Camp provides top young players with elite instruction, as well as the opportunity to compete at the national level against other players in their age group.
