Vecchio Scores Two Goals To Lead Express Past Wilkes-Barre, 4-1

Lockport’s Frank II Vecchio had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team’s 4-1 win over Wilkes-Barre.

Vecchio scored on the power play at 9:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lockport and again while 11:16 into the second to make the score 4-0 Lockport.
Lockport pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 33 penalty minutes.

Lockport excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Wilkes-Barre was unable to stop Lockport from sending pucks towards the net, and Lockport eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Lockport also had goals scored by Anthony Tomassi and Andrew Logar, who each put in one. More assists for Lockport came via Justin Andriaccio, Brendan McFall, and Dylan Jenkins, who contributed one each and Gibson Stuart and Fankie Bodami, who each chipped in two.

Wilkes-Barre could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

Sam Fitzpatrick recorded 22 saves for Lockport. Lockport registered one goal on five power play opportunities. For Lockport, Tomassi was ejected from the game. Mathieu Beaudet made 29 saves for Wilkes-Barre on 33 shots.
