RAUMA, Finland – Joseph Woll (St. Louis, Mo.) made 20 saves but the U.S. National Under-18 Team was shut out by Russia, 3-0, today at the 2016 Under-18 Five Nations Tournament.

Russia opened the scoring at 12:16 of the first period on the power play. Team USA tested Vladislav Sukhachev 15 times in the frame but could not find the back of the net.

Two second-stanza tallies by the Russians, one scored with the man advantage, pushed the lead to three goals. The United States would total 27 shots on Sukhachev in the second and third periods in an effort to close the gap, but the Russian netminder would deny all chances and the U.S. fell, 3-0.

The U.S. National Under-18 Team looks to bounce back tomorrow (Feb. 12) when it faces Sweden. Game time is slated for 12 p.m. ET.
