US National Sled Team Blanks Germany For Third Win

GANGNEUNG, South Korea – Paul Schaus (Buffalo, N.Y.) scored twice and Bo Reichenbach (Billings, Mont.) registered his first world championship shutout as the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team blanked Germany, 9-0, here at the 2017 Para Sled Hockey World Championship in Gangneung, South Korea.

“We faced some adversity in the beginning, but our players pushed through and put in a strong team effort,” said Guy Gosselin, head coach of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. “It’s good to see scoring from all of our lines. We’ll rest up, take care of ourselves tonight and tomorrow and be ready to go for Canada on Monday.”

Team USA (3-0-0-0/W-OTW-OTL-L) will have an off day tomorrow before facing Canada in a battle of unbeaten on Monday, April 17. Puck drop is slated for 3 p.m. local (2 a.m. ET) at Gangneung Hockey Centre and will be streamed live at
