PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Union received goals from seven players to pin a 7-1 loss on Brown at Meehan Auditorium FridayNight. The win gave Union two points in the ECAC Hockey standings, marking the team’s first league road win while extending its unbeaten streak against the Bears to six games.

Union scored twice in the first and second periods, then added three goals in the third for its highest offensive output since the season opener.

Max Novak and Sebastien Gingras recorded three-point nights with a goal and two assists each.

Mike Vecchione opened scoring by tipping a shot in front of goaltender Tyler Steel on Gingras’ shot from the blueline.  The goal extended Vecchione’s points streak to five games.  Union struck two minutes later when Novak’s faceoff win led to a snap shot from close range off the stick of Daniel Ciampini, who buried his seventh goal of the season to move into a share of the team lead with Vecchione and Spencer Foo.

Union added two goals in the second period.  Gingras scored on a low shot that went through the legs of Novak and snuck between the pads of Steel.  Roman Ammirato answered by scoring his second goal in as many games, cutting across the slot and tucking a shot inside the right post.

The Dutchmen received third period goals from Matt Wilkins, Eli Lichtenwald and Novak.

Union goaltender Colin Stevens didn’t allow a goal, making 22 saves over two periods, before giving way to Alex Sakellaropoulos in the third period.
