With a 4-2 win over Dunkirk Fredonia Saturday, February 12,2017, the Iroquois/Alden Chiefs Varsity Hockey Team finished their league season undefeated with an impressive 17-0-1 record.  The Chiefs league record gives them the number 1 seed in the Mixed School division and a buy in the first round of playoffs.  The Chiefs will face Jamestown in the second round in a best of three game series.

Game 1 of the playoff series between Jamestown and Iroquois/ Alden will be at Northwest Arena in Jamestown Friday, February 17, 2017 at 8:20 PM.  Games 2 and 3(if needed) will be held at Leisure Rinks in Orchard Park on Sunday February 19, 2017 at 8:45 PM.   The winner of the series will advance to the “Super Sunday” championship game for the mixed division which is to be held on February 26, 2017 at Key Bank Arena in Buffalo (time TBA).

Teams advancing to Super Sunday in the mixed division qualify for the State Championship to be held in Long Island, New York the weekend of March 3, 2017.

Please join in on Rooting for the Chiefs Varsity Hockey team as they press forward on the road to Super Sunday.  Let’s show Jamestown that not only is the Chiefs hockey team up to this challenge but so are the fans.  Congratulations Chiefs on an undefeated season and good luck at playoffs!
