Two Golden Knights Receive ECAC Monthly Awards

Two Clarkson Golden Knights received recognition from the ECAC for their outstanding play in the month of January.  Caitrin Lonergan was named the ECAC Player of the Month and Michelle Pasiechnyk was named the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month.

Lonergan had a month to remember…she scored 8 of her team high 10 goals and 6 of those against the 5th ranked team in the country.  Lonergan’s is now 3rd in the country in goals scored.  Her final two games of the month, she tallied twice in each to lead Clarkson to 2-0 and 2-1 wins over 1st place Colgate.

Pasiechnyk had a stellar month, which included sweeping Colgate, a 2-1 win and a 32 save 2-0 shutout.  She had a huge 42 save effort in net in a 3-1 win at Quinnipiac the weekend before.  She is now 5-2 on the season.
