BUFFALO, NY— The first NWHL All-Star Game, held in Buffalo, NY, ended with a win for the hometown team, captained by Beauts “C” Emily Pfalzer. The day ended with a 9-1 win for Team Pfalzer over Team Knight.

The skills competition featured drills for shooting accuracy, fastest skater, breakaways, and the hardest shot. Megan Bozek set the NWHL record for the hardest shot with an 88mph bomb from the hash marks, winning that skill for Team Pfalzer. Team Pfalzer swept the skills competition, earning them 4 points to start the 4-on-4 game.

Team Knight would get a point on the board with a goal by fan-vote All-Star Hayley Williams, but Team Pfalzer was relentless and piled on two goals by Kelley Steadman, and one goal each from Emily Field, Shiann Darkangelo, and Devon Skeats. Steadman was named MVP for her performance during the All-Star Game. Team Pfalzer will receive 20% of the proceeds from ticket sales for the All-Star Game to split equally among the team members.

Full highlights will be available on NWHL.co this week, along with special footage from helmet-mounted Go Pro cameras.
