WINTHROP, Mass. – Syracuse sophomore forward Emma Polaski was named College Hockey America Player of the Week after her four-point performance, which included her first career hat trick, against RIT, the conference announced Monday, Nov. 19.

Polaski scored three consecutive goals between the second and third periods in Syracuse’s 6-4 loss to RIT Friday, Nov. 16, helping turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 Orange lead. She was involved in all four of Syracuse’s goals, tallying an assist on redshirt junior defenseman Lindsay Eastwood’s first-period goal in addition to her natural hat trick.

She is the second Orange skater to earn Player of the Week honors from the conference this year. Junior forward Anonda Hoppner received the honor in October after a four-point weekend. She had an assist in Syracuse’s 5-4 overtime win at Lindenwood on Oct. 19 before scoring a shorthanded goal and tallying two more assists in a 6-3 win at Lindenwood the very next day.

Polaski leads Syracuse with a team-high eight goals through 13 games this season. She shares the team high in points (11) with senior defenseman Allie Munroe.
