St. Louis To Host 2016 National Hockey Coaches Symposium

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. &#8212 USA Hockey announced today that registration is now open for its 2016 National Hockey Coaches Symposium, set for Aug. 11-14 in St. Louis, Missouri, at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel.

“This is a marquee event, offering coaches a valuable opportunity to learn from some of the world’s very best,” said Mark Tabrum, USA Hockey director of coaching education. “We encourage coaches to register early, as this event sells out quickly.”

Typically held every other year, the USA Hockey National Hockey Coaches Symposium is for aspiring coaches seeking to attain their Level 5 coaching certification, the highest offered by USA Hockey. In addition to general sessions, coaches also have the opportunity to explore innovative approaches to coaching through intensive breakout sessions dedicated to age-specific teaching and techniques.

The most recent National Hockey Coaches Symposium was held in Las Vegas two summers ago, with presentations from Dean Lombardi, John Hynes, Jack Capuano, Jon Cooper, Jeff Blashill, Dan Bylsma and Mike Sullivan, among others.
