Solar Bears Sign Williamsville, NY Native Bradley To ATO

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies, have announced the signing of rookie defenseman Chris Bradley to an Amateur Try-Out Agreement.
Bradley, 22, joins the Solar Bears after wrapping up a four-year collegiate career with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where the defenseman played in a career-high 40 games this season, tallying eight points (2g-6a) and four penalty minutes while serving as team captain. In 145 career games for the Engineers, Bradley logged 35 points (9g-26a) and 22 penalty minutes.
Prior to playing at RPI, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound rearguard played two seasons of junior hockey with the Youngstown Phantoms of the United States Hockey League under current Solar Bears head coach Anthony Noreen. During his time with the Phantoms, the Williamsville, N.Y., native accumulated 33 points (10g-23a) and 20 penalty minutes in 113 games.
The Solar Bears continue their fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson, P.A., when they host the Adirondack Thunder for the first time at the Amway Center on Thursday, Mar. 17 at 7:00 p.m.

The Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies, play all of their home games at the Amway Center, the 2012 Street and Smith’s Sports Business Journal Sports Facility of the Year.
