Syracuse University seniors Jessica DiGirolamo and Allison Small are the College Hockey America Player and Goaltender of the Week after leading the Orange to three wins at Lindenwood last weekend. DiGirolamo accounted for six points (five goals and one assist) in Syracuse’s sweep of Lindenwood, while Small recorded 64 saves in the three victories.

A defender, DiGirolamo recorded a hat trick in a 4-1 win on Friday and tallied two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win on Sunday. She has recorded 24 points (10g, 14a) in 19 career games versus the Lions. In 2020-21, DiGirolamo has eight goals and four assists for 12 points, which ranks third for the Orange. She ranks 8th nationally for points per game by a defenseman. In her 124-game career, DiGirolamo has 68 points (25 goals and 43 assists), which is fourth on the Orange record list for points by a defenseman. She five 2+ goal games in her Syracuse career. It is the second career CHA Player of the Week honor for DiGirolamo.

On Saturday, Small recorded her 1,000th career save, becoming the sixth Syracuse goalie to accomplish that milestone. She achieved the accomplishment in 38 career games for the Orange. Her career save percentage (.921) is the best in Syracuse history, while her season save percentage (.932) is third on the Syracuse single-season record list. It is the second time Small has earned CHA Goaltender of the Week in her career.

Syracuse will host Long Island University in Syracuse on Friday, Feb. 19 (7 pm) and Saturday, Feb. 20 (2 pm). Both games will be streamed on Cuse.com.
