Sabres Sign Flynn and Crawford

 Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier today announced that the Sabres have re-signed restricted free agents Brian Flynn and Nick Crawford.

 

The Sabres have signed Flynn (6’1″, 180 lbs., 7/26/88) to a two-year contract after the forward made his National Hockey League debut with the Sabres in the 2012-13 season, recording 11 points (6+5) in 26 games. In addition to his time in Buffalo, the Lynnfield, Mass. native has appeared in 50 games for the Rochester Americans (AHL) in the last two seasons, totaling 33 points (16+17) and 20 penalty minutes.

 

Flynn, a University of Maine alumnus, originally signed with the Sabres in March of 2012.

 

Crawford (6’1”, 192 lbs., 2/23/90) has been signed to a one-year contract after spending three years with the Sabres’ AHL affiliates, tallying 72 points (18+54) and 71 penalty minutes in 199 games with Rochester and the Portland Pirates. Last season, he recorded 19 points (5+14) and 18 penalty minutes in 53 games on the Rochester blue line.

 

A native of Caledon, Ontario, Crawford was selected by Buffalo in the sixth round (164th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
