Buffalo Sabres Alumni Gilbert Perreault and Rene Robert affixed the first two of the 401 alumni plaques that will appear on the brick-encased pillars in Alumni Plaza at First Niagara Center.

Alumni Plaza will also be the focal point of the arena with a larger-than-life statue of the French Connection, to be dedicated later this month.

In addition Michael Casullo, the first Sabres fan to purchase a brick for the Plaza, attached his families plaque to one of the bricks. The bricks can be purchased by Sabres fans by going to www.sabres.com. Casullo purchased his within one minute of the sale going up on-line.
