Another weekend of games came to a close, including the first CHA contests of the 2017-18 season. Earning CHA weekly awards for the week ended October 15, 2017 are Kelli Rowswell from Syracuse, Elijah Milne-Price from Robert Morris, and Megan Korzack from Mercyhurst.

Player of the Week

Kelli Rowswell – Syracuse
Sophomore, Forward – Winnipeg, MB/Balmoral Hall

Rowswell topped all Syracuse skaters with three points during the Orange’s weekend split with Providence. She scored two goals and added an assist for her three points, having a hand in three of the four Syracuse goals scored against the Friars. Rowswell had a goal and an assist in Syracuse’s 2-1 win on Friday, then added another goal in the 3-2 overtime loss on Saturday.

Goalie of the Week

Elijah Milne-Price – Robert Morris
Sophomore, Goalie – Mississauga, ONT/Mississauga Jr. Chiefs

Milne-Price started the first of a two-game set at Maine this weekend, earning her second win of the season in the process. She stopped 15-of-16 shots faced against the Black Bears, helping the Colonials to a 2-1 road victory.

Rookie of the Week

Megan Korzack – Mercyhurst
Freshman, Forward – Grimsby, ONT/Stoney Creek Sabres

Korzack notched her first collegiate points as Mercyhurst split a pair of games at Lindenwood to open up the CHA season. She opened Saturday’s game with her first career goal, then added an assist later in the contest on Samantha Fieseler’s goal which made it 3-0.
