Rome NY Native to Utica Comets

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the Canucks have assigned forward Tom Sestito to the AHL Utica Comets.

Sestito, 27, appeared in three games with the Canucks this season registering one assist (0-1-1) and has played three games with Utica. Last season he appeared in 77 games for the Canucks collecting a career-high nine points (5-4-9) and 213 penalty minutes.

The 6’5”, 233-pound forward was claimed off waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers on March 1, 2013. A native of Rome, New York, Sestito was originally drafted by Columbus, 85th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
