Rangers Reduce Roster Again


New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced that the team has assigned Cristoval Nieves, Magnus Hellberg, Nathan Gerbe, and Tanner Glass to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the team has assigned forward Gabriel Fontaine to his junior team, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).

The Rangers have 24 players remaining in Training Camp. The roster breakdown is listed below:

Forwards (14): Pavel Buchnevich, Jesper Fast, Michael Grabner, Kevin Hayes, Josh Jooris, Chris Kreider, Oscar Lindberg, J.T. Miller, Rick Nash, Brandon Pirri, Derek Stepan, Jimmy Vesey, Mika Zibanejad, Mats Zuccarello

Defensemen (8): Adam Clendening, Dan Girardi, Nick Holden, Kevin Klein, Ryan McDonagh, Dylan McIlrath, Brady Skjei, Marc Staal
