Potsdam’s Skidmore of Syracuse Claims Season’s First SUNYAC Goalie of the Week Honor

POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Potsdam senior men’s hockey assistant captain Nate Skidmore (Syracuse, N.Y./Buffalo Jr. Sabres) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference’s Goalie of the Week after two wins to open the 2018-19 season.

Skidmore was sharp to start the year with a 2.00 goals-against-average and a .935 save percentage. The goaltender made 30 saves in a 3-1 win at Saint Michael’s College in the season opener on Friday. In Maxcy Ice Arena on Saturday night, Skidmore turned aside 28 attempts from the Purple Knights in a 7-3 blowout.
