SUNY Potsdam Women’s hockey players Jordan Ott (Hilton,
N.Y./Rochester Edge) and Brittany Lucky (Kanata, Ontario/Ottawa Senators)
were honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference West for their
play during the season’s opening weekend. Ott was named the conference’s
Rookie of the Week, while Lucky earned a spot on the honor roll.

Expectations are high for Ott and she got her collegiate career off to a
hot start in the Bears’ 4-3 victory over Saint Michael’s College on
Saturday afternoon. It took the freshman forward just 12 minutes and 21
seconds to score her first career goal. She then added an assist third
goal of the contest at 11:15 of the second period to close out her
two-point day.

Lucky, Potsdam’s senior captain, recorded three assists in the win over
the Purple Knights. Her first helper came on Ott’s opening tally and she
finished her performance with an assist on teammate Sally Mooney’s
game-winner at 2:11 of the third period.
