Potsdam: Arnold Selected for Conference All Team

POTSDAM, N.Y.–SUNY Potsdam men’s hockey player Mike Arnold (Didsbury, Alberta/Kingston Voyageurs) has been selected to the All-State of New York Athletic Conference third team for men’s ice hockey.

This marks the second time that Arnold has earned all-conference recognition. He was named to the second team for his play during the 2012-13 season.

This season, Arnold led the Bears in scoring with a team-high 17 goals and six assists for 23 points. The senior captain scored five power play goals and had two game-winners including one in Potsdam’s 3-2 overtime victory at SUNY Cortland on Dec. 7.

Arnold finishes his Potsdam career with 49 goals, 20 assists for 69 points in 86 games. His 49 goals tie him for 14th with Steve Stone (1984-88) on the Bears all-time goals list.

In conference play this season, Arnold racked up 11 goals and six assists for 17 points in 16 games to tie for sixth in scoring in the SUNYAC.
