PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) finished with 39 saves and Buffalo State created some late chances, but it was not enough as the visiting Bengals dropped a 2-0 decision against nationally No. 1-ranked Plattsburgh in an ECAC West contest this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals opened the scoring with just 17 seconds remaining in the first period.
The deficit remained at just 1-0 until Plattsburgh finally added an insurance maker, chipping home a rebound with just under four minutes remaining in regulation.
The Cardinals finished with a 41-15 advantage in shots.

FOR THE FOES
Melissa Sheeran scored her 10th goal of the season to open the scoring, and Bridget Balisy added her seventh of the year.
Camille Leonard made 15 stops for the shutout.

Buffalo State and Plattsburgh will square off again today at Stafford Arena at 3 p.m.
