Seniors Madison Fischl (Basking Ridge, NJ/New Jersey Rockets) and Corey Temple (Troy, MI/Ohio Flames) and sophomore Kianna Gutenmann (Clifton Park/Troy-Albany Ice Cats) each recorded one assist. Gili gave Cortland a 1-0 lead 13:38 into the first period, deflecting a pass from Fischl over Trovato’s shoulder. After a scoreless second period, Carlucci made it a 2-0 game at 12:03 of the third period when she skated onto a loose puck a drove a shot past Trovato from the slot.

Oswego pulled to within 2-1 with just one second remaining on a two-player power play as Ullrich scored on a wrist shot from the slot at 14:48. Ellis tied the game on a rebound goal from the right side 31 seconds later while the Lakers still skated on the power play. Cortland had its second power-play chance of the game late in the period but could not capitalize as the teams went into overtime. In the extra five minutes, Cortland junior Josie Fletcher (Wasilla, AK/Alaska All-Stars) had an early chance but was denied by Trovato.
