North York Clinches Series With 3-1 Win Over Jr. Sabres

The win by North York clinched the best of seven series at four-one

Rangers’s penalty kill excelled, as Rangers gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays.

North York kept Jr. Sabres’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Tucker Weppner made 29 saves on 32 shots.

Rangers were helped by Joshua Dame, who tallied one goal.Dame scored in the third period to make the score 3-1 North York. Keegan Blasby picked up the assist.Others who scored for North York included Kyle Clarke, Dame, and Ted Hunt, who scored one each. More assists for North York came via Blasby, who had two and Louis Kereakou and Fedor Rudakov, who contributed one apiece.

North York were unable to stop Buffalo from sending pucks towards the net, and Buffalo eventually piled up 48 shots on goal.

Buffalo were led by Ryan Cox, who scored the team’s only goal. Cox scored on the power play in the third period to make the score 1-1 . The score was assisted by Zach Evancho and Christopher Berger.

Rangers totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. North York ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jeremy Szabo was ejected from the game. Jr. Sabres incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
