HAVERHILL, Mass. – On the heels of a weekend sweep over the RIT Tigers, two Niagara hockey players claimed Travel Team USA Player of the Week awards on Tuesday.

Goaltender Adrian Ignagni was named AHA Goaltender of the Week, while freshman Vincent Muto pocketed Rookie of the Week honors.

Muto collected three helpers in NU’s conference sweep of the Tigers.  In Friday’s 3-0 win, Muto contributed a career-high two helpers, while adding an assist in the 5-1 victory the following day at Ritter Arena.  His point total moved him into the top spot in defenseman scoring on the Purple Eagles’ roster with 11 points (2-9-11).  The Niagara Falls, N.Y native finished the weekend with eight shots, and a plus-3 rating.
