Buffalo, NY ā€” Kristina Lavoie has signed a contract with the Buffalo Beauts for the 2016-17 season, General Manager Ric Seiling announced Saturday. Lavoie and the Beauts agreed to terms on a one-year, $13,000 contract.

“Kristina is another prospect who comes to us from the Buffalo Free Agent Camp. Right away, Craig [Muni] and I noticed her ability to make good passes and find her teammates with them. We think she can be an integral piece to our goal production.”

Lavoie played in 134 games for the University of New Hampshire from 2009-2013, where she scored 108 total points (57g, 51a). Lavoie attended Free Agent Camp in Buffalo earlier this summer.

ā€œIā€™m excited to join the Beauts and the NWHL because I’ll have the opportunity to play the sport I love and compete at one of the highest levels against world class players,ā€ said Lavoie.

Restricted free agency began on April 1 and lasted until April 30. Free agency began May 1 and lasts until July 31. The 2016 NWHL Draft was on June 18.
