Hilary Knight’s league leading eighth goal of the season gave the Boston Pride all the scoring punch they’d need in a 1-0 win over Buffalo at Bright-Landry Center.

In a battle of the two NWHL All-Star Captains, Knight’s goal came at the 9:52 mark of the second period and was assisted by fellow All-Stars Jordan Smelker and Kacey Bellamy.

Brittany Ott made 25 saves, recording the first shutout in NWHL history. Brianne McLaughin was spectacular in the loss, stopping 42 Pride shots.

Boston travels to Connecticut on December 27th, while Buffalo hosts New York. Sunday also marked the second game for the NWHL’s new closed bench door policy.
