Aiden Salerno finished with two points to lead the Buffalo Jr. Sabres to a 4-1 victory over the Georgetown Raiders.

The win gave Buffalo a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Buffalo also got points from Tim Kielich, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Buffalo included Daniel Lafontaine and Collin Farrell, who each put in one. More assists for Buffalo came via Christopher Berger, Brenden Dunning, Ben Casale, and Chris Moses, who contributed one each.

Georgetown stifled the Jr. Sabres’ power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Raiders were led by Gavin Shantz, who scored the team’s only goal. Shantz scored on the power play 10:25 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Buffalo. A unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Salerno had put Georgetown on the power play. Anthony Marra picked up the assist.

Alex Connal rejected 24 shots on goal for Buffalo. The Jr. Sabres incurred 36 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors. The Raiders took out Marc Williams after he had made 19 saves and installed Jack LaFontaine in goal, where he finished with six saves and the loss. Georgetown incurred 52 minutes in penalty time with 16 minors.
