Behind a great game by Alexandre Racicot, who had one goal and three assists, Jersey Shore defeated Lockport, 6-3.
Racicot scored 17:45 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Jersey Shore. Racicot dished an assist on Adam Skutchan’s goal that made the score 1-0 Jersey Shore at 1:10 into the first period. He then added assists on Arthur Raevsky’s goal at 2:52 into the second and on Austin Crane’s goal at 6:51 into the second.
Jersey Shore additionally got points from Travis Valvo, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Skutchan, who also had one goal and one assist. Jersey Shore also got a goal from Ilya Spektor as well.
Lockport stifled Jersey Shore’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lockport’s offense rang up 40 shots on Jersey Shore’s net.
Lockport was helped by Mark Friol, who registered one goal. Friol scored 12:13 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Jersey Shore. Christian Whitcomb provided the assist. Others who scored for Lockport included Dillon Hayes and Jordan Pocobello, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lockport received assists from Daniel Golba, Justin Blake, and Christopher Gasiewicz, who each chipped in one.
Tyger Howat recorded 37 saves for Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Lockport’s Ryan Kostelnik stopped 22 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Lockport incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
