HVCC Loses To Broome CC In Hockey

The Hudson Valley Community College hockey team (0-2) lost to SUNY Broome (2-0) 6-4 on Wednesday evening.

Tyler DeMarco (Windsor Locks/Windsor Locks, CT) scored his first goal of the season, and Brandon Doherty (John Jay/Hopewell Junction) added two goals to give Hudson Valley a 3-1 lead heading into the third period. Broome would come out and score four goals in the third before DeMarco scored his second goal of the game to cut the lead to 5-4, but the Hornets would add an empty net goal to earn the 6-4 win.

The hockey team travels to Mohawk Valley next Wednesday for a game at 7:30 p.m.
