FREDONIA, N.Y. — ICE HOCKEY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Polachek had a six-point weekend in a pair of games vs. SUNY Canton. He had a goal and four assists in Fredonia’s 7-2 win on Friday, and assisted on the Blue Devils’ lone goal in Saturday’s 2-1 loss. The output made Polachek the top scorer among Fredonia freshmen. He has 19 points — five goals and 14 assists. Polachek joins fellow Blue Devil freshman Luke Rivera (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) as SUNYAC Rookie award winners this season.
