The 2013-2014 season sees the Fordham University ice hockey program now entering its 44th campaign.  The team hit the ice in early September skating twice a week to prepare for its 16-game league schedule which kicks off mid-October. In the teams first 6 exhibition games the team went 3-1-2 and returned from its yearly trip to the Ice Works College Showcase in Ashton PA with an impressive game against Nationally Ranked Alvenia and its only loss so far at the hands of Neumann.
These games give the team a chance to bond, get in shape and see exactly what is needed to have success over the course of the season, stated Head Coach Rich Guberti.  The Rams will play 30 games this season with a number of them against Nationally ranked teams.   Our goal is always to make the playoff, get Nationally ranked and then bring home a MCHC championship, Guberti added.
The team is led by Senior Captains John Fox, Ben Boltz (Fulton NY) Juniors William Lane, Zack Olah and Chris Zito (Massapequa Park NY).

Head Coach Rich Guberti is in his sixth year with the team.   Coach Guberti historically ranks 4th in overall wins and 1st in winning percentage.  A USA Hockey Certified Level 4 Coach, he runs successful year round Pro Player Hockey clinics and camps. His Westchester Dragon tournament teams play in AAA tournaments during the spring and summer on the East Coast.

Behind the scenes is Director of Hockey Operations, Andrew Mola CBA ’86 (30th year) who handles the day-to-day team operations which can range from organizing transportation, finances, alumni relations, statistical analysis, scheduling, recruiting, and running game day operations. Mola also is in his fifth year serving as the President of the MCHC and has held prior MCHC Executive Board positions such as Director of Eligibility and Director of Structures.
