On November 14 the Fordham University Rams defeated MCHC league rivals Hofstra University 12-2 at the Ice Hutch in Mount Vernon NY.  The victory game Head Coach Rich Guberti 80 career wins.  The 80 wins gave him the most of any coach in Fordham’s 45 year history.  He reached this mark in just 5 years as the teams head coach.  The team also won 28 games in his first 2 season as assistant to Tim Collins.
After the game Coach Guberti had this to say, ”  Thanks to Tim Collins for bringing
me to the school and GM Andrew Mola for all his hard work in running the program.
I have been bless with dedicated players the last 7 years, a great athletic department
and supportive faculty and administrative staff.  Our work is not done this season as
our goal remains to defend our title.”
Fordham is 7-1-0-1 in league play and resumes their season January 11 when the
break ends.

Janet has been covering women's hockey for over 35 years. Along with a 38 year career in Public Relations and over 40 years photographing sports, she found a passion in women's hockey. Her initial story was on the founding of the Niagara University D1 program, she expanded to collegiate and youth and was active in the founding and promoting of the WNY Girls Varsity Ice Hockey Federation. When Professional Women's Hockey hit the ice she was there, one of the first to release the story in WNY. Along with her husband, Randy, people comment that if there's hockey, the Schultz's are there!
