SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy from the Syracuse Crunch today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced. In addition, Tampa Bay has reassigned goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis to the Crunch.

Vasilevskiy, 21, has appeared in 11 games with the Crunch this season, posting a 6-4-1 record with a 1.94 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage. He has also recorded one shutout. Vasilevskiy made 26 saves on 27 shots in Syracuse’s 2-0 loss to the Binghamton Senators last night.

The Tyumen, Russia, native has appeared in 15 games with the Lightning this season, posting a 8-5-0 record with a .910 save percentage and a 2.73 goals-against average. He won six of seven starts prior to being reassigned to the Crunch on February 12. He has played in 31 career NHL games, with a 15-10-1 record, a .914 save percentage and a 2.54 goals-against average.

Vasilevskiy was drafted by Tampa Bay in the first round, 19th overall, of the 2012 NHL Draft.
