Conklin & David Post Two Points Each In Canton’s Tie at Castletown

Rutland, VT – Bailey Conklin and Sean David posted a goal and assist each as the SUNY Canton men’s hockey team earned a 4-4 overtime tie at Castleton on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Conklin and David posted a goal and assist each as the North Country natives each tallied their second goals of the season. Jeffrey Gauld and Connor Tuttle posted the other Canton goals.
The Roos scored a pair of goals 15 seconds apart off the sticks of David and Gauld less than one minute into the second period to turn a one goal deficit into a one goal lead.
Tuttle made it 4-2 Roos at 1:33 of the third period but the Spartans added two unanswered.
Andrew Barber scored at 18:37 of the third period on the power play to send the game to overtime.
Canton outshot Castleton 3-2 in overtime.
Michael Cerasuolo made 25 saves for the Roos, while Wyatt Pickrell turned aside 25 shots for the Spartans.
The Roos held a 40-31 advantage in faceoffs, while Canton scored twice with the skater advantage and Castleton did once.

WHAT’S NEXT

These two teams will have a rematch on Saturday at 7 PM at Spartan Arena.
